Losing weight can be a daunting task, so I decided to apply a helpful tool I learned during a brief stint in rehab; I got a sponsor. Choosing a sponsor is critical because whenever you feel like you’re going to slip, you can call this person for help getting through a rough period.
I chose my buddy Tom d G as my weight loss sponsor. The guy is an avid weight lifter, eats nothing but chicken and tuna, and can hula hoop with a Cheerio.
Last week, I was hungry and in a hurry; a bad combination. I called my sponsor but he didn’t answer. It was too late when he returned my call a few hours later. I had already enjoyed a #2 combo meal at White Castle.
